1. Assessing the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals in Arab Countries: From Theory to Practice

The workshop aims to:
- evaluate the progress and challenges faced by Arab nations in translating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from conceptual frameworks into actionable outcomes. This assessment is crucial for understanding the effectiveness of current strategies and identifying areas needing improvement.
- seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical commitments to sustainable development and practical, on-the-ground achievements in the Arab world.
-
During the workshop, participants will be trained on how to use analytical tools and econometric models to evaluate progress in various areas such as education, health, economy, environment, and social justice.
2. Innovation and Technology as Tools to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab World
-
This workshop focuses on how technological innovation can accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals in the Arab region. Participants will gain knowledge and the ability to analyze how modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data, and renewable energy, can play a vital role in addressing developmental issues in the region.
-
The workshop will also cover how to integrate innovation with national and regional policies to develop sustainable solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
-
The workshop seeks to empower Arab countries to utilize innovation and technology effectively, ensuring that the SDGs are not only aspirational but also attainable through concerted and informed efforts.
3. Tourism and Entrepreneurship: The Path Towards Creating Sustainable Economic Opportunities
-
This workshop aims to explore the interconnected links between the tourism sector—with its inherent opportunities—and the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation. The workshop will review methods and means of achieving sustainability in emerging tourism projects as one of the Sustainable Development Goals.
-
The workshop will include specialized training for participants on the importance of small tourism enterprises, how to launch them and ensure their sustainability, and their role in creating new and sustainable job opportunities, thereby enhancing the progress of sustainable development at the national level.

The workshop also aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to transform innovative ideas in the field of sustainable tourism into realistic and impactful projects.
